Dead Good Race Team has wrapped up its second full season with a championship win. João Da Costa secured the DTRA Inters title after a year of close racing that came down to a single point.
It has been a strong season from start to finish. João kept his head cool through tight battles and changing conditions, delivering consistent results across every round. Calm under pressure and quick when it counted, he built momentum all year to take the title.
“I’m thrilled to have won the DTRA Inter title this season with Dead Good Race Team,” João said. “It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m so grateful for the support of RE ZRO®. The armour truly felt like a second skin, giving me that extra confidence and protection on the track. The racing has been incredibly challenging and rewarding, and I can’t wait for the next season.”
Team owner Rory Milton added, “We’re over the moon to be taking a championship in just our second full season as a team. João rode brilliantly all year and was pushed all the way to the end, winning the title by a single point. Jamie and Danny did a mega job too, scoring podiums across the season and representing the team and RE ZRO® internationally.”
It was a standout year for the wider team as well. Jamie Kimber completed her first full season on a 450, finishing fifth overall in the Inters, while Danny ended the season eighth in class and second in the Two Stroke Vintage championship. Between them, they picked up podiums, built confidence and helped grow the team’s presence on the UK and international scene.
Dead Good’s success is built on hard work and commitment more than anything else. Late nights in the garage, long drives to race weekends and a shared drive to keep improving have defined the team since day one. This season’s title is proof that the approach is paying off.
“For RE ZRO®, it’s about more than results,” says Lauren Maher, Sponsorship Manager at RE ZRO®. “We back riders who lift others up and give back to the sport. João and the Dead Good team capture that spirit perfectly. They race hard, support each other and help build the community around them.”
Jake Tindall, Head of Marketing at RE ZRO®, added, “Partnerships like this show what makes RE ZRO® different. We’re not just backing talent; we’re supporting people who shape the sport from the inside. Having been with Dead Good from the start and taking on title sponsorship this year, it’s been rewarding to see their hard work turn into results. João’s championship shows exactly what can happen when you believe in the right people.”
For Dead Good Race Team and RE ZRO®, this season marks another step forward. One team, one title and a shared commitment to keep progressing, made better together.
