The deuter Attack mountain biking backpack has been dominating the most challenging trails  for the past two decades. So, to celebrate its 20th anniversary, deuter is launching the Attack  in a new look and with a special back protector, developed in collaboration with RE ZRO®. As  well as celebrating this iconic pack, deuter is yet again demonstrating its expertise, innovation  and dedication to mountain bike backpacks that are built for performance, safety and  sustainability in equal measure.

At the heart of the anniversary edition Attack is a removable back protector designed in collaboration with RE ZRO®. This multi-impact back protector helps soften the blow during a crash and is made from highly flexible, lightweight TPE material that not only offers outstanding protection, but also benefits from a highly ventilated structure. Which means it’s comfortable to wear even on long rides and fast-flowing downhills. This flexible protector molds to the shape of your back for unrestricted freedom of movement. And the best bit: the protector is also fully recyclable and biodegradable*. Should RE ZRO’s TPE reach a landfill; its unique material composition enhanced by TOTO-TOA®, allows  microbes and fungi to colonize and feast on the carbon structures leaving behind biomass and  biogas effectively returning to zero in an estimated 3-5 years. This makes the Attack a  responsible choice for environmentally conscious bikers.

The Attack’s proven Airstripes back system has a reduced contact surface for exceptional  airflow. The ventilation channel in the back, plus the perforated hip fins and breathable  shoulder straps make it both comfortable to carry and effective at dissipating sweat – perfect  for challenging trails and long days out in the heat.

The streamlined shape of the pack itself, works together with the ergonomically formed,  padded shoulder straps and the load stabilizer straps to create a compact, dynamic position  for the pack, which gives it a secure feel for maintaining good balance on the toughest downhill  trails. The hip fins are fitted with an elasticated belt for additional support without restricting  movement. These are designed to distribute the load onto the hips and therefore relieve strain  on the shoulders and back – especially important over bumpy terrain.

Its many useful features make the Attack the ideal companion for mountain bikers looking for  a technical pack. Modular bungee cords and attachment loops can be used to secure items like a helmet, protective gear or tools. It’s compatible with a bladder system (up  to 3 liters) so hydration on the move is taken care of. And the Attack comes  with a rain cover to keep contents dry, so that riders can count on it no matter  what the weather.

The cleverly conceived Attack comes in sizes 14 SL, 16, 18 SL, 20 and 22 EL and carries TÜV SÜD & GS certification.
